From off the radar to on the payroll, it was a milestone night for CFC100 TE Bruno Labelle who signed with the Arizona Cardinals as an undrafted free agent at the conclusion of the 2021 NFL Draft per reports from 3DownNations Justin Dunk.

The Montreal native who earned his way to the NCAA through a fantastic CEGEP career at Montmorency is used to operating in the shadows as an unsung hero, and while he may not be a household name yet even in Canada, the Cardinals are willing to give the 10th ranked Class of 2016 CFC100 prospect a chance to prove his worth on the biggest stage.

From Quincy Forde’s Path to the Draft Series

“Bruno Labelle has been an integral part of the Cincinnati Bearcats run game as a blocker over the past few years, helping bring the program back to the top tiers of college football. Over his career with the team, heā€™s caught 20 passes for 150 yards as a receiver too. Bruno Labelle missed several games with injury this year, but he primarily played as the second-string TE, and as the second TE in two-tight end sets. He finished the season with 10 catches for 81 yards and a TD through seven games played. He finished the season with a strong run-blocking grade of 75.2, and a strong pass-blocking grade of 73.4, which helped him to a 72.1 overall offensive grade.”

Draft Outlook From February 8th: I see Bruno Labelle going in the first 2-3 rounds of the CFL Draft. A good blocking 6ā€™4ā€, 250lbs H-Back/fullback who can catch passes out of the backfield will be able to carve out a role up here, as shown by Nikola Kalinicā€™s success with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. Heā€™s clearly the first fullback off the board in the CFL Draft to me.
