CFC100 Thomas Thibault announces Ivy League commitment

It’s all about family and a high class education for CFC100 Thomas Thibault out of Williston Northampton (MA). The tight end prospect recently announced his commitment to Columbia, who are members of the Ivy League and already home to his older brother CFC100 Xavier Thibault.

CFC100/CFC60 Recruiting Stories

The pair originally played for powerhouse program CFC50 Seminaire Saint-Francois in Quebec, but decided to head south to seek out NCAA opportunities in Massachusetts instead. This led to attention from nearby Columbia, where Thomas is excited to reunite with his brother in New York City,

“Columbia offers a world class education, and the chance to continue my football career alongside my brother.”

Thibault announced his offer back in May, and didn’t report on any other recruiting action up until signing with the Lions. This would lead you to believe he had his eyes set on joining his brother on campus for a long time now, and they’ll also be suiting up next to CFC100 Inho Choi, who joined the program last season alongside Xavier. They’re the first Canadian prospects to land in the Big Apple since we began tracking every NCAA commit back in 2010, and are also members of the small group of players who’ve found a path towards an Ivy League education through hard work on the field and in the classroom.

On the field, Columbia finished last season with a 6-4 overall record, which was a bit disappointing after a strong 7-2 finish the year before. In the classroom, they’re widely considered one of the top ten colleges in the United States across many rankings, and top 25 in the world.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
