CFC25 Small School Rankings WEEK 2: Programs across Canada jockey for position

TOP HEADLINES

  • Quebec never fails to provide drama with College Laval elevating to the fourth spot on the rankings after a 29-26 victory over Dalbe-Viau. We’ve also got newcomers College de Levis and Deux-Montagnes making moves as they continue their hot starts to the season.

  • It was a tough week for AA programs in BC as they continue their preseason grind against tough AAA squads. Yes – Vernon, Robert Bateman, and John Barsby all lost, but it’s tough to figure out what that actually means midway through September. It’s going to be interesting to watch who emerges as the top contenders when the regular season begins.

  • Lo-Ellen kicked off their campaign in Sudbury with a scare from Lively, who gave the defending champs a run for their money before falling 28-23. There was tight battles across the board in week one, so it’s looking like we will have a thrilling season in Northern Ontario.
  • Get ready for sparks to fly this week as Weyburn take on Greenall in their first regular season matchup. The Griffins will be looking to make a statement as they continue to shake up the South Rural League in Saskatchewan.

  • It was a perfect week for programs ranked in Alberta, but the road is about to get a little bumpy for Medicine Hat, who takes on Lethbridge CI, and George McDougall, who have a showdown with CFC50 top ten ranked Raymond.
