There were some big signings that went on last week that had a major impact on this week’s CFC27 U Sports recruiting class rankings. UBC burst on to the scene with a bang as their 6 commits are all blue chip athletes. While the Thunderbirds may not be in the top 5 for total points, they take top spot in the average points per player, 44.17, with their CFC100s and other talent.

That being said, it’s status quo in the total rankings, but as stated above the major shift in the top 5 came this past week for average points per player. UBC is No. 1, followed by Saskatchewan who signed CFC100 Kalin Betts this past week. This will put the Huskies at 40.22 points on average per player. Laval falls to third place with Queen’s right behind them in 4th.

Queen’s is similar to UBC with only 5 commits that we are aware, however, with the three CFC100s that will become Gaels next season and the two other high end recruits, they cracked the top 5. Montreal remains in the top 5 in 5th spot.

For the rest of the list, Carleton is seeing the most movement and we have yet to see Acadia make an appearance. We hope that they will be releasing their commits in the near future.

  • POINTS NOT ALLOCATED to (a) Transfersthey would have acquired points in their original class year; (b) International commits who ONLY played outside of Canada prior to U Sports commitment
  • CFC27 is updated approximately once per week (there can be a lag of a few days behind the U Sports commit list)
  • Teams are not ranked until they have a minimum of 5 players on their commit list
