Welcome back to CFC40 Draft Watch, where we look at upcoming draft-eligible Canadian football players across the U Sports and NCAA landscape. Today we spotlight Saskatoonβs very own CFC Prospect Game alumnus CFC100 OL Leif Magnuson out of Cal Poly.
Player Overview
Leif Magnuson is an offensive lineman for Cal Poly, who brought an interesting NCAA journey upon transferring. Before joining Cal Poly as a graduate student this year, the 6β4β, 285lbs blocker spent five years at Arizona.
After redshirting his initial 2020 season, Magnuson saw some time as a redshirt freshman as a depth offensive line piece. Following a limited 2022 season where he did not see time either, he became a key cog up front for the Wildcats in 2023.
