CFC60 QB Senecal makes it official on NCAA Early Signing Day

Add another Canadian quarterback to the depth-chart for the UConn Huskies, who’ve officially secured the signature of CFC60 Jonathan Senecal out of Andre-Grasset in Quebec. Senecal will be joining fellow CFC60 QB Jack Zergiotis on campus, who just completed his first season with the Huskies.

The young phenom took over CEGEP DI in 2017-2018 throwing for 5885 yards and 58 touchdowns, eventually leading Andre-Grasset to Bol d’Or glory over Garneau to cap off 2018. He formed a near impenetrable connection with Syracuse Orange CFC60 receiver Kevin Mital, who caught 17 of Senecal’s 27 touchdown passes during their championship run, and ultimately was one of the main reasons they were crowned champions. This past season Senecal was forced to watch from the bench only throwing seven passes in command of the Phenix offence.

Prior to joining Andre-Grasset, Senecal enjoyed a successful high school career at College Laval where he won the Bol d’Or in back-to-back seasons, and was named Team MVP twice. He first jumped on the CFC60 rankings last June, when CFC Lead Analyst Clint Uttley took a crack at playing Nostradamus,

“I recently spoke with a MAC coach, who asked several questions about this young player. I definitely think he will be the best quarterback in Cégep next year and should be on the radar for coaches both in Canada and in the NCAA.”

The Huskies recently sent CFC100 Hergey Mayla to the Calgary Stampeders via the CFL Draft, and are also home to CFC100s Lwal Uguak and Kevens Clercius. Senecal will also be joined by fellow UConn commits CFC100 Carter Hooper and Chris Fortin.
