Tier IV
#7 Pincher Creek Mustangs at #4 Willow Creek Cobras
Friday, September 23, 7:00 p.m.
Willow Creek H.S. (Claresholm)

Pincher Creek is ranked? Well, this is new. In the decade and a half of football in Pincher Creek there hasn’t been much to cheer about and a tough schedule each year against Southern Alberta League opponents hasn’t helped. However, right out of the box this year the new look Mustangs are 2-0 and having a ball. Now for a real test this Friday as Willow Creek has been a top 5 ranked team at the Tier IV level for years now and will be particularly cranky after their last second loss to Chinook last week. Plus the Mustangs have to travel to the Cobra’s lair under the lights in Claresholm. Flash in the pan or is it a new day in the windy foothills? (Source: Football Alberta)

WJ Mouat Hawks @ Carson Graham Eagles

Carson Graham Grade 11 quarterback Darius Lamiere, receiver Nick Termanse, and running back Isaac Birch will find out how good their team is this weekend when they face the Hawks. The Hawks are coming off a disappointing loss to the Double-A Mission Roadrunners 22 to 16. QB Daniel Markin and running back Devin Logan hope to erase the memories of that game.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
