While he was one of six players eligible for the NFL Supplemental Draft, he was not selected today. Β Instead, he inked the deal with the Bengals.
On Monday, Simonese hosted a Pro Day which at least 13 NFL teams had previously confirmed their attendence and over 20 teams expressed interest. Β However, some media reports have indicated that only six were in attendance.
During testing at his Pro Day, his results wereΒ 4.71 and 4.52 40-yard dash 35-inch vertical jump and 10.3 broad jump.
Last season with the Calgary Dinos, the 6’5, 190 pound receiver from Vancouver, British Columbia amassed 1306 yards on 65 receptions and 11 touchdowns. He helped the Dinos reach the CWUAA final. Β Simonese was selected as a CWUAA All-Star in 2015.
Additionally, he was selected as a CIS First All-Canadian and participated in the CIS East-West Bowl game at Pervical Stadium this past May.
Previous to the Dinos, Simonese suited up for the Vancouver College Fighting Irish of the British Columbia High School Football Association (BCHSFA).
Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
