CJFL Major Award winners announced

The Canadian Junior Football League (CJFL) is proud to announce their Major Award winners for the 2013 season.Β  The awards were handed out Friday night at the Jostens Banquet of Champions in Regina, SK.

The award winners are….

Gord Currie Coach of the YearΒ 
Matt Blokker – Vancouver Island Raiders –VI finished 8-2 and won the BC Football Conference crown for the seventh time in eight seasons.Β  Blokker became the All-Time Winningest Coach in September, recording his 84th career victory in just 99 games.

Rookie of the YearΒ 
Jamie Ybarra – Vancouver Island Raiders – 68 completions, 1382 yards, 13 touchdowns, a 109.2% passer efficiency rating

Peter Dalla Riva Outstanding Offensive PlayerΒ 
Andre Lalonde – Saskatoon Hilltops – 182 carries, 1367 yards, 7 touchdowns

Larry Wruck Outstanding Defensive PlayerΒ 
Mason Beekhuis – Windsor AKO Fratmen – 24 tackles, 12.5 sacks, 1 fumble recovery, 1 interception

Brad Goodchild – Langley Rams

CJFL Stewart MacDonald Executive of the YearΒ 
Mike Eurchuk – Edmonton Huskies
