CJFL: Pair of Broncos hit 1,000 yard mark

The Kamloops Broncos won their fifth game of the season on Saturday night blasting the Valley Huskers 58-15.

Two players celebrated hitting the 1,000 yard plateau for the first time in their careers and the first time in Broncos history.
Running back Jacob Palmarin has been galloping towards his first PCFC rushing title and passed the 1,000 yard mark in the third quarter on Saturday night.

The last BCFC rusher to hit 1,000 yards was in 2012 when Greg Morris of the Westshore Rebels collected 1,527 yards and 14 touchdowns.

Receiver Devin Csincsa also hit the 1,000 yard mark on Saturday night.Ā  He has had a breakout year playing alongside Derek Yachison.

The last BCFC receiver to gain 1,000 was Marshall Cook of the VI Raiders last year when he tallied 1,084 yards and nine touchdowns.

Both players hit the mark in front of the hometown crowd at Hillside Stadium and will have an opportunity to add to their totals with one game left in the regular season.Ā  They will host the Okanagan Sun on Saturday night, in what could be a playoff preview.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
