Chad is in his 10th year of playing football. Over the course of his career he has accumulated a few honours including 3 MVP awards and 2 offensive MVPs. He has played in three U.S. all-star tournaments over the past 3 years, in Cleveland and Charlotte. Last year he was a member of the Ontario Varsity Football League (OVFL) junior varsity champion team from Brampton. In 2011 he was chosen a ‘rising star’ and participated in that all-star game and is getting ready to play in the Football Canada Cup this July for Ontario. Over the course of his long career he has played many positions, but most recently has been a receiver and defensive back. Chad is one of the top punt returners this season (after 3 games) in the OVFL Varsity division – 5 returns, 90 yards, long of 54, 18 yard average.

His most memorable football experiences has been “playing in the US at the Thanksgiving Day tournaments over the last 3 years. This allowed me to strengthen current friendships and make new ones. We also won the OVFL Junior varsity championship last year.”

The biggest influence in his football career has been “my brother Jared Manchulenko. Jared has been coaching me since the day I was born and showed me how to get better every day and always pushed me to be the best I can be. Also, I am thankful to all my BMFA coaches that have given of themselves over the past 11 years. Lastly, my Mom for being so supportive and always reminding me I can do anything I set my mind to.”

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
