Class 2017 prospect Jana declares an NCAA frontrunner (VIDEO)

It’s only just beginning for Class 2017 prospect Terrell Jana.

As he was competing south of the border at the Opening Regional in Washington, theΒ  6’1, 185 pound athlete from Burnaby, British Columbia disclosed that one NCAA Division 1 school is emerging as a frontrunner in the recruiting sweepstakes.

Virginia Cavaliers are the leading contenders because of the proximity to home and his bond with the coaching staff.

Currently, Jana has six NCAA offers including ones from Ohio Bobcats, Nevada Wolfpack, Maryland Terrapins, Rice Owls, Old Dominion Monarchs and the Cavaliers.

Jana has also said that Boston College Eagles and Yale Bulldogs are among the teams interested that are close to making an offer for him.

The athlete plans to visit Maryland in the next couple of weeks.

This past fall, Jana played south of the border for Virgina prep team, Woodbury Forest Tigers. In the 2015 season, he racked up 1082 yards on 32 receptions and scored 13 touchdowns in 10 games.

Previous to the Tigers, Jana suited up north of the border with St. Thomas More Knights of the British Columbia High School Football Association (BCHSFA) where heΒ received a Grade 11 Helmet in 2014.

During the 2014 campaign, Jana’s performance in regular season and playoff games caught attention as the BCHSFA recognized his efforts seven times as a BC High School Notable Performance.

Jana is expected to make a decision by the summertime of where he will continue his gridiron career.
