Cross country stops lands DB with Marauders

McMaster adds a CJFLer to their team.

Marley Delcy, a defensive back from St. Norbert Collegiate, has been all over the country, but now he will be settling in Ontario after signing with the McMaster Marauders.

“I chose McMaster for its academic prestige and Coach Knox played defensive back in the league for ten years. We had a great talk about the Xs and Os. He understands what my goals are,” Decly said, who is interested in kinesiology or business.

He added that the addition of Coach Brady from Mount Alison made becoming a Marauder a certain move for him. “I think the coaching would benefit any defensive back who is serious about playing pro,” Decly said.

Originally from Montreal, Quebec, Delcy soon found himself in Winnipeg where he played football with the North Winnipeg Nomads (Manitoba Major Junior Football League). He then headed to BC to suit up with the Westshore Rebels (Canadian Junior Football League). Standing at 6’0, 190lbs, he has only been playing for four years.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
