Dominant defense leads Fratmen to win

The Fratmen dominance on the road continued Saturday afternoon in Brampton as the team won 32-6 over GTA Bears

Despite missing defensive starters #2 DB Tyler Bremner (Personal) and #51 LB Joe Iatzko, #21 DBΒ Charles Johnson, and #44 DL Chris Grondin (Injury) the Frat were able to force 3 INTs and 2Β fumbles, suffocating the Brampton offense.

The Bears hit a long TD on the first drive of thegame for an early major, #9 LB John Moynahan blocked the convert and the Bears didn’t comeΒ close to the end zone again. #18 DB Jeremiah Hamilton had an INT, and Austin Crumb had 2Β INTs returning one for a TD.

On offense the Fratmen were led on the ground by newcomer #28 RB Tarrence Crawford whoΒ grinded out tough yards against a big defensive front. #5 WR Stephen Russo caught a 2ndΒ quarter TD pass from Austin Lumley, who also ran in a score of his own.

Scoring also camefrom #26 RB Brad Marsden with a 3rd quarter TD gallop, and #12 K Matt Paonessa whoΒ connected on the first FG for the Fratmen since week 1 against the London Beefeaters, theΒ Fratmen kickers were 0-7 over that stretch.

The 4-1 Fratmen return home next weekend with a Sunday matinee (1pm) against the 2-2 TwinΒ Cities Predators who play St Leos at home this Saturday night.
