Leesburg, VA – Simon Fraser University football players Lemar Durant (Coquitlam, BC) and Jamal Kett (Orangeville, ON) have been named to the Beyond Sports Network Pre-Season All-American team.
Both players earned spots on the first team of all-stars.
Durant, a wide receiver and Kett, a tight end, will both enter their sophomore seasons with the Clan in 2013.
After their first season with the Clan in 2012, Durant and Kett each earned a spot on the BSN All-American team, with Durant being named to the second team and Kett earning honourable mention.
Both players were also named to the first team of all-stars in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference in 2012 as well.
The 2013 Simon Fraser Clan football season begins on September 7 when the Clan travels to Arcata, CA to take on the Humboldt State Lumberjacks.
SFU will start the season with two games on the road before the Clan’s home opener at Terry Fox Field on September 28 against the Western Oregon Wolves.
