FCC: Ontario East takes tour of the Maritimes (VIDEO)

Ontario East faced New Brunswick in the second consolation semi-final on Wednesday.Β Β The second quarter was a difference maker and set the clock running toward another maritime match up for Ontario East.

Ontario East answered the score late in the 1st quarter when QB Caleb Scott (Mt. Albert) took a sweep to tie the game, a score which held on through the quarter.

Early in the second quarter New Brunswick coughed up the ball and Ontario East took over the ball on the NB 30 yard line.Β Β Ontario East returned the favour the very next play.Β Β Mid-way through the quarter Ontario East began to put things together.Β Β A big run by Andrew Smith (Whitby) set up a first and goal opportunity that fellow running back Pelle Jorgen (Toronto) took advantage of with a 5 yard touchdown run.Β Β Another New Brunswick fumble set up a short field for Ontario East and on the first play George Papadakous (Whitby) hooked up with Malcolm Carter (Toronto) for a nice 24 yard score.Β Β Malcolm Smith (the tourney athletic freak) wet up the next score with another big catch.Β Β Andrew Smith scored after a New Brunswick offside penalty extended the drive.
