Football Manitoba seeking head coach for under-18 program

This past Football Canada Cup marks the end of the current coaching staff’s engagement and we will be welcoming applications for the next term (2014-2015).

As the head coach, you will have total control of the on-field elements of the team. You will be completely responsible for the development of the selection camps for the U18 team as scheduled by the Football Manitoba office. You will also be completely in charge of the design of the training camp for your team within the time frame that has been booked by Football Manitoba.The coaching staff for this program will be on a two year rotation.

If you are interested in joining the program please be aware of the following:

* Each province will only be allowed to send one representative team at the U18 Level for the Football Canada Cup.

* The successful applicant will be responsible for the identification, recruitment, training and overall development of the athletes who will represent Manitoba at the 2014 and 2015 Football Canada Cup.

* The Head Coach must be a fully certified at NCCP Level 2, Introduction to Competition, or higher, as well as, certified in Respect in Sport. No exemption forms will be accepted.

* Under the supervision of Football Manitoba, the Head Coach will work cooperatively with the

program’s General Manager, as well as the Under 16 West/East Program’s Head Coaches and

General Managers.
* The Head Coach will work with Football Manitoba’s Director of Football Operations in assembling a core staff of assistant coaches. Selections will be reviewed by Football Manitoba to ensure that all assistant coaches selected meet the following requirements:
1. All coaches must be a trained NCCP Introduction to Competition or higher and be certified in Respect in Sport.

2. Have maintained an image of integrity, and present a positive image of the football community.

3. That the core staff is representative of the football community as a whole and will only

be allowed to hire a maximum of 2 coaches per program (including the Head Coach).
