Fox 40 Propect Challenge (West Coast): RB Hwang gets MVP first year of playing

Being the 2016 MVP for the GSL Panthers is something that running back, Chris Hwang will remember forever. “Started playing football 2 years ago. 2016 was my first year of tackle football. Although the Panthers didn’t get into the playoffs, we had a great season and revived the MVP award at the end,” he says.

The 5’6, 110lbs back wants to get on the All-Star team for the CFCFPC, but he is looking to also develop his skills and get better at the game overall. He adds,”My ultimate football goal would be to play football at college and maybe even after”.

Going to the gym and attending skill camps, Chris says that he loves football because of the full action of the sport. He says that he likes to throw the football around and/or play the game because it gives him “excitement and joy”.

When we asked who he looks up to for motivation and as a role model he replied, “Richard Sherman/ Leveon Bell. Richard Sherman just plays the game with passion and shows character on the field. He also is very smart and it shows in the plays he makes. Also I just love the way Leveon bell runs.”

This young player has many more years to excel at the sport that he can’t get enough of.
