Fox 40 Prospect Challenge (Central): Duffy is a playmaker

Cole Duffy might be small, but he is fearless once he steps in between the white lines.

Duffy is a younger, scrappier version of The Honey Badger also known as Tyrann Mathieu. Mathieu became famous at Louisiana State University by making a lot of plays at multiple positions on defense and special teams.

Duffy is similar in that aspect. He is a playmaker who can lineup at both free safety and strong safety, he has the athletic abilities to return any interception to the house, and he can hit. On special teams, he can be both a returner and a gunner.

“Football has allowed me to see what I can really do in life and opened my eyes to what is achievable,” says Duffy.

Despite his prowess and ridiculous athletic abilities, Duffy knows he can get better. Improving is his main objective at the CFCFPC, “see how good I am in Ontario, and how much I need to improve,” says Duffy.

Duffy loves football for a multitude of reasons, but the primary one is competition. He is addicted to competition, and wants to compete against the best in order to improve and be the best. “It gives me goals to achieve, and keeps me competitive,” says Duffy.

Duffy is a lucky younger brother that has the benefit of having a good older brother looking out for him so that he does not lose sight of what matters in life. “My brother because he gives me a goal to achieve and keeps me grounded, so I don’t go off tracks,” says Duffy.
