Denzel Kanhai is an athlete playing football. He has played in all three phases of the game during his football career, thus far.
This young man has played slotback, running back, and wide receiver on offense. When he plays defense, he has received some time at cornerback, linebacker, and safety. And, he has experience playing as a kicker.
What canāt he do?
Kanhaiās football career has not started out the way he would have hoped as injuries kept him off the field during his first two seasons, but he came back with a vengeance.
āMy football experience has been rough, but forgiving. I did not play until my third year because of injuries, however, I started on offense, defense, and special team,ā says Kanhai.
Despite suffering injuries to start his career, Kanhai loves the game of football for its physicality. āI love playing football for the hits, there is nothing else like it, and the adrenaline is addicting,ā says Kanhai.
In order to come back stronger than ever and last through a long grueling football season, Kanhai ātrained with my coaches from Kingdom Force to improve.ā
At the CFCFPC, Kanhai wants to leave scouts and coaches with a strong impression of his athletic abilities and how he could help their respective program. āMy goal is to show the scouts the type of athlete I am, and how I could help their program,ā says Kanhai.
Naturally, since Kanhai spends time both on offense and defense he has an idol that plays on offense and one who plays on defense. He idolizes a pair of Seahawk players. āMy football role models are Russell Wilson and Kam Chancellor. Wilson because everyone said he was too small, but now he is dominating the NFL, and Chancellor because of the pure force he brings on every play,ā says Kanhai.
