Fox 40 Prospect Challenge (West Coast): DE Giustino has top end speed

Michael Giustino has been playing organized football since the age of 5. The 6’2, 165lbs defensive end has played for Holy Cross Regional High School (Tackle) and White Rock South Surrey Titans Minor Football Association (Spring Flag Football)

The Surrey native has a vast amount of accolades, with 2016 being his most successful year to date. Michael was named to the BCHS U16 team, where he would play against the best in Western Canada. To go along with the BCPFA Zone bowl which unfortunately was the same weekend.

Giustino also attended the BC Lions Orange Helmet Awards with team BC to meet new players acquired and drafted by the Lions.

As a defensive end, Giustino has top end speed; he qualified for the BC Provincials in Nanaimo while on the 100-metre relay team and qualified for regionals in the 200-metre dash.

When asked about being in the CFC Top 100, Michael said, “ To be on that list in my graduating year would be an absolute honour.”

Being an all-around athlete, Giustino notices why football plays a big part in his life, “Football is my chosen sport, I have been asked to play other sports but football is what I enjoy the most.”

Also mentioned about his love of the game, “I love how football is physically demanding and that you play in all different types of weather.”

Michael was asked about his football idol and he went to one of the baddest NFL players to ever live, Dick Butkus. Giustino said about Bustkus, “He hit hard and he was mean, the most aggressive player I have ever watched tape on.”

Knowing that the Fox 40 Prospect Challenge is coming up, Giustino’s goals for it are simple, “I just want to make the final team.”
