Fox 40 Prospect Challenge (Central): Jack Ryan on a mission

Jack Ryan is a young man on a mission.

He started playing football in the summer following grade 10, not only that he wanted to and played the hardest position in sport; quarterback. Due to his lack of experience a lot of people doubted him.

And in a Hollywood-like fashion Ryan went from the underdog no one believed in to the hero everybody suddenly loves, the hero walking with the girl in the sunset. He proved all his doubters wrong with his stellar play and committed to Mount Allison University.

His stats for this past season; 1458 passing yards, 70 per cent completion, 12 passing touchdowns, and another six rushing, and he accomplished all of that in seven games. Talk about a baller.

ā€œNobody thought that with my lack of experience I would be able to make it anywhere and now Iā€™m committed to Mount Allison University, so I love proving people wrong,ā€ says Ryan. A few years ago, he was doubted, but now he will have a chance to play football at the post-secondary level.

Ryan also understands that the game of football is a complex one that involves three key ingredients: mental, physical, and skills. ā€œFootball is a game where mind, athleticism, and skills all come together,ā€ says Ryan.

In the offseason, Ryan trains with Bob Rainford ā€œwhoā€™s a super intelligent mind and it really helps me get better,ā€ says Ryan.

Bob Rainford is the founder of the Rainford Quarterback Academy, a highly touted academy for hopeful quarterbacks in Ontario.

At the CFCFPC, Ryan wants “to compete as one of the best quarterbacks.”
