Fox 40 Prospect Challenge (Central): LB Palmer hoping to soak up this experience

Aidan Palmer has been playing football for six years and has had a great experience thus far.

He has had the opportunity to win many fall and summer championships with the Brampton Bulldogs in the Ontario Varsity Football League (OVFL), and recently won the Region of Peel Secondary School Athletic Association (ROPSSA) Tier 2 championship with his high school team, the David Suzuki Grizzlies.

That season, the linebacker was also awarded Defensive Player of the Year. Aidan has also played on Team Ontario as part of team Black in the past.

β€œMy goals for FPC are to improve my skill as a linebacker and overall football player,” said the Grizzly, β€œI want to soak up as much information as possible.”

As of right now, the linebacker is graduating at the end of this year, but if he decides to take the victory lap, he would love to be on the CFC100 list, as it would bring validation to all his hard work.

During the offseason, the Grizzly tries to maintain a healthy diet, as well as attending the gym at least five times a week. β€œI focus on explosive moments, such as cleans, squats and deadlifts,” explained Aidan.

On the field, his role model is Patrick Willis because he loved the way he brought energy and ferocity to the game. β€œI aspire to be a complete linebacker like him,” added Aidan.

The linebacker loves football because it is where he feels the freest and he is more comfortable on a football field than anywhere else.

β€œI love the physicality and intensity of the game,” commented the Grizzly.
