Fox 40 Prospect Challenge (West Coast): OL/DL Paul is a force to be reckoned with

Simon Paul is a force on both the defensive and offensive line positions. When needing the extra force in the backfield, he will also sub in as a fullback.

The 6’4, 250lbs Paul has been playing football for three years with the Kelowna Red Blacks and the Mount Boucherie Secondary School Bears. In his short football career he has been named his teams top defensive lineman for the 2016-17 season.

Paul notes that he strives to be like JJ Watt, mentioning, “I love watching Watt because of his amazing skill set and how he gives it all every play.”

Outside of the gridiron, Paul is on the track and field team and uses that to work on his cardio and footwork.

Simon talks about the CFCFPC as a big opportunity, “To improve my current skills, learn new skills and work as hard as I can.” comments Paul. Paul never looks away when there is a chance to get physical on the field.

Simon’s take on why he loves the game. “I love the contact and hitting aspects of the game and that it takes a full team to win games.”

Paul’s graduating year is 2019 and is looking to take his skills to the next level.
