Fox 40 Prospect Challenge (West Coast): QB Anderson looking to make players around him better

For eight years Ethan Anderson has been playing quarterback. He has played for the Vernon bombers, Vernon Yellow Jackets, Vernon Magnums, Abbotsford Huskies, Mission 9’ers, and currently, the Abbotsford Panthers.

Played the game since 6 years old, have played in 3 BC championship games, and has played QB entire career,” he says.

Anderson loves the teamwork and excitement of the game. It’s no surprise then when he mentions that, not only does he want to be the best player at the CFCFPC, but he also wants to make the other players around him better.

How is the 6’1, 165lbs QB going to work on getting better?

Currently enrolled in my college prep course which is every Saturday for 4 months 3 hours (1 hour classroom and 2 hours on the field) weight training with my coach Monday and Wednesday morning,” he says.

And while this young player has already be awarded the MVP of the Bower Bowl, Offensive Player of the year 4 times, and has been ranked in the top 5 for AAA yards and touchdown’s in JV, he still looks up to players for motivation. Marcus Mariota of the Tennessee Titans in the NFL is someone he wants to emulate. Mariota, you’ll recall, was the first Oregon player and Hawaii-born athlete to ever win the Heisman Trophy.

Anderson will go far with his, already, mature attitude.
