Mark Randazzo started playing football with the bantam Hamilton Hurricanes and once he started to play, he knew he would love it.

He then moved on to play slotback with the junior varsity Hamilton Hurricanes, and then later in varsity, became the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in the Ontario Football Conference (OFC).

“Winning the championship with the varsity Tiger-Cats was fantastic and I can not wait to get working on a repeat in 2017,” said Mark.

The Tiger-Cat also plays in the Hamilton-Wentworth Catholic Athletic Association (HWCAA) with his high school team, the Bishop Tonnos Titans, where he plays safety and receiver.

The team struggled both on and off the field, but they are a hard working and tight group that comes to compete at every game.

In addition, he has also competed in the Ontario Prospect Challenge (OPC) game for the past two years.

“It’s always special to play with and against the best football players in the region,” explained the Titan. “Also, the exposure you get from just playing for OPC is always good.”

“For me, the opportunity to compete and to learn from the coaches is what is important,” said Mark of the Prospect Challenge.

During the offseason, the Titan does strength and speed training with High-Performance Training at McMaster University, as well as strength and skill training with SST.

On the field, his idol is his could Sam Randazzo because he played defensive end for the University of Ottawa and has been seen around the CIS as an OUA Player of the Week.

The receiver has always looked up to Sam because of his work ethic and the drive to succeed.

“I love the competition and the physical nature of the game,” commented Mark about his love for football. “It is also a game that is 100% team oriented.”
