Fox 40 Prospect Challenge (Central): REC Wolfe is obsessed with football

Liam Wolfe is a lifelong obsessed fan of football willing to do whatever it takes to get on a football team. “Since a young age, I have loved football. It’s an obsession,” says Wolfe.

Wolfe attends a high school, which does not have a football program, so he plays with the Toronto Jr. Argos and attends various camps to master his craft. “Attending a high school that doesn’t have a football team has definitely set me at a disadvantage when it comes to recruiting,” says Wolfe.

However, the young receiver, who plays both out wide and in the slot, has not let it affect his confidence, “my school doesn’t have a team I have to put in extra work during my Jr. Argos seasons and OPC Games,” says Wolfe.

But make no mistake, Wolfe is not your typical diva wide receiver, in 2015 he played through a nasty injury. “I played through a torn meniscus during the 2015 season, playing every game and caught 10 touchdowns,” says Wolfe.

Football is an obsession for Wolfe because it allows him to be in the moment. Anytime he steps on the field, he leaves all his problems behind, and his free to concentrate on the task at hand. “During practices or games, I am thinking about nothing except football,” says Wolfe.

During the off-season, Wolfe leaves nothing to chance and follows many different workout programs in order to become a better athlete. “I work with a trainer to improve strength, power, explosiveness, conditioning, etc.” says Wolfe.

Wolfe has simple goals for the CFCFPC, “my CFCFPC goals are to continue to learn as much as I can, gain valuable experience, and hopefully draw some attention from scouts,” says Wolfe.
