Fox 40 Prospect Challenge (West Coast): OL Lock wants to represent his province

Ethan Lock’s experience playing football has been a positive one so far. Having only played for three seasons, he already has been a part of some elite level teams. Currently playing for the West Vancouver Highlanders in BC, he has made it though to the second round of phase 2 for the CFCFPC.

To be able to improve my skill level and get more exposure to universities and colleges so I can continue to play after high school,” is what Lock is looking to do with being a part of the top 100 selection camp.Ā

The 6’0, 235- pound lineman says he has enjoyed all of the opportunities to grow and advance as a player. He has also been fortunate enough to meet a lot of great teammates. “I play not only for my team but representing my province as well,” he says.Ā And while Lock doesn’t look up to anyone in particular as a role model he is a big fan of the offensive line in general. “Each player has their role, but they all have to work as a unit.”Ā

While he works out to improve his strength and agility, he also plays rugby to increase his overall fitness level. This is as important as knowing how to play football.

But ultimately, “It is the ultimate team sport. I playing offence where I know the play, my job and responsibilities.”
