Fox 40 Prospect Challenge (West Coast): REC Stomperud looking to showcase his skills

My opportunity in football so far has been amazing,” says Haydn Stomperud.

The 5’9 and 130-pounds slotback and free safety has been playing football for nine years now. He has been on multiple teams; the Langley minor football team, White Rock minor football team, North Surrey minor football team, and most recently the Lord Tweedsmuir Panthers in the BC high school football league.

Stomperud mentions that he has been fortunate enough to have participated in numerous events to showcase his skills and abilities. The CFCFPC will be no different.

My goal for the CFC fox prospect challenge is to showcase what I can do, and do whatever the coaches need me to do,” he says.

During the off-season, Haydn plans to work at football; go to the gym after school with his teammates, practice footwork, do conditioning, and try to improve his testing stats.

But why does Stomperud do what he does?

“I love to play football because the drive and the determination to get to an all-star game or to the championship makes every class, training session, and practice worth it.”
