Fox 40 Prospect Challenge (West Coast): REC/DB Peters “dreamt of playing football”

For receiver and defensive back, Isaiah Peters, football wasn’t an option to play growing up. Having lived in Haiti since he was ten years old, he dreamt of being able to play, but didn’t have the opportunity to join a team. “When we moved to Canada last year, I joined the Robert Bateman Secondary School football team and loved it even more than I had dreamt I would,” he says.

His short, two year football experience so far has been a dream and he has quickly started to sink his teeth into the game that he has such passion for. With 389 yards and 3 touchdowns, 2 interceptions, and 27 tackles in the 2016 season, Peters is hoping to use this off-season to get even better.

“First goal is to make it on the team. Secondly play to the best of my abilities,” he says when describing his goals for the CFCFPC. He also has participated in various QB camps and games. “I have only just recently moved to Canada, but have joined several football camps and practice with my teammates.”

In addition to working out in the mornings, he will be working on his football ability and skill in the off-season to improve as he would like to follow in the same footsteps as Dawson Davis, who is a role model of Peters.

My role model is Dawson Davis, because he’s nice and is a really good football player and I hope to follow in the same footsteps as him.”
