Lucas Desbouis, a defensive back from CΓ©gep de Trois-RiviΓ¨res, and Benjamyn Lachaine, a defensive lineman from CΓ©gep rΓ©gional de LanaudiΓ¨re, are ready to make a difference with the Bishopβs Gaiters.

Lucas Desbouis
When Lucas Desbouis chose the Gaiters, he knew it was exactly what he wanted.
βI decided to commit to this school because the facilities at Bishop’s University are really amazing, especially their sports facilities,β he says. βI also chose this university because it will be a truly enriching experience for me to play for this great football team and mostly to study in English and to be able to finish my studies by being completely bilingual.β
The potential sociology student adds that, βI think that the coaching staff at Bishop’s University is very competent and really close to their players. I especially like the way players are coached at Bishop.β
Desbouis spent four years playing with Les Diablos du CΓ©gep de Trois-RiviΓ¨res (RSEQ Division 2). He is from Bois-des-Filion, QuΓ©bec. Standing at 5β11″, 160lbs, he was named as the βbest defensive playerβ for the 2018-2019 season.

Benjamyn Lachaine
For Benjamyn Lachaine, Bishopβs offered him a chance to remain at his defensive lineman position. He said he chose the school because of the football program and facilities.
βThe coaching staff look cool and very close with the players,β he adds.

The future history major is 6β2″, 265lbs. From 2012 to 2015, he played with Les BΓ©liers dβHenri-Bourassa (RSEQ). He then spent two years with Les Aigles de l’Γ©cole de l’AmitiΓ© (RSEQ) before joining Les Triades du CΓ©gep rΓ©gional de LanaudiΓ¨re (RSEQ Division 3) for three.
In 2013, the product of LβAssomption, QuΓ©bec won an academic award. In 2015, he was named as βdefensive lineman of the year.β
