Peterborough center finds perfect fit with OUA school.
Brad Angevaare will be beginning his CIS career in the Nationβs Capital.
Recently, the 5β10, 260 pound centre/long snapper from Peterborough, Ontario committed to the Ottawa Gee-Gees. He will join the team for the 2014 OUA season.
βI chose Ottawa because I felt as though it was the best suit for me,β explained Angevaare.Β βI visited the campus and it was exactly what I wanted.β
βIt’s not too big but it is right downtown. Coach (Jamie) Barresi also made it feel more like a place I wanted to be. Β Β He runs a good football program and I felt it was exactly what I was looking for. Also the school offered me some scholarship money for my grades so that was also a factor in my decision.β
This past season, Angevaare guided the Trinity College Bears of the Conference of Independent Schools Athletic Association (CISAA) to a 4-2 record.Β Previous to the Bears, the centre suited up for the Holy Cross Hurricanes of the Central Ontario Secondary School Athletics (COSSA).
Additionally, he has played the past two seasons with the Peterborough Wolverines of the Ontario Varsity Football League (OVFL). He has also suited up in the past for the OVFLβs Oshawa Hawkeyes.
