Bishop O’Byrne (10), Centennial (2)

Wainwright (21), Bonnyville (49)

Bonnyville would be in the driver’s seat for most of this game that saw them beat out Wainwright Commandos 49-21.

The Voyageurs would start the scoring off with a 1-yard touchdown run by Drake Coulianne. Dustin Antoniuk would get a 10-yard catch from quarterback Silas Fagnan, and then he would find Mason Ward for a 25-yard passing touchdown to end the first quarter, 21-0.

The second quarter would see Fagnan connect with Boulianne once again for a 48-yard score. The Commandos would answer back to this one with a 1-yard major, however, that didn’t seem to phase the Voyageurs as they continued to put up two more scores before the half; a 25-yard pass to Brodie Gamble and Fagnan kick a 17-yard field goal to end the first half.

At the half, 39-6 was the score.

The third quarter would see Fagnan once again kicking for a 17-yard field goal. Wainwright would exchange the favor with a 9-yard run of their own. In the fourth quarter, Gamble would once again rush for a 10-yard score. The final score would end up 49-12 for the Voyageurs.

Silas Fagnan would complete 7/11 for 160 yards and 4 touchdowns. Evan Fritzler would rush for 137 yards on 14 carries while Gamble would have 24 yards rushing and 1 touchdown. Boulianne would also get a rushing touchdown to go along with 76 yards receiving on 2 catches and 1 touchdown reception. Gamble, Mason Ward, and Antoniuk would all have touchdown receptions on the night.

Defensively for Bonnyville, Fagnan would have 5 tackles, Goulet would have 4 as would Fritzler.

Spruce Grove (7), Austin O’Brien (56)

AOB won soundly over Parkland, 56-7 this past weekend. With 6 minutes remaining in the first quarter, the score was 14-0 for AOB. They would score twice more before the end of the quarter bringing it to 28-7. In the second quarter, AOB would put three more scores on the board, with it being 49-7 at the half.

There was no slowing down for the Crusaders as they continued to score in the second half and finished off with a 56-7 final score.

Bishop Grandin (35), Robert Thirsk (21)

The Bishop Grandin Ghosts were the victors this past weekend over the Comets with their 35-21 win. From the scoring summary on their hudl page, we can only ascertain that the two team traded scores back and forth as it looks like all the action happened in the first quarter.

Holy Trinity EDM (30), M.E. Lazerte (7)

W.P. Wagner (33), Blessed Oscar Romero (6)

Wagner would put up 20 points in the first quarter alone as they would end up winning over Romero, 33-6 this past weekend. In the second quarter they would add another 10 points to the board.

At the half the score was 30-0.

In the second half, Romero would add their lone touchdown and Wagner would put up 3 more points. No points were scored in the fourth quarter.

Queen Elizabeth (0), Fort Saskatchewan (62)

In a massive shut out, Ft. Sask would crush QE with a 62-0 win this past weekend. They would score 25 points in the first quarter, 20 points in the second quarter sending both teams to break with a 45-0 lead. They would score another 14 in the third quarter and a last two points in the fourth. The final score – a whopping 62-0.

St. Joseph’s EDM (15), Beaumont (31)

The Beaumont Bandits beat out St. Joseph’s 31-15 this past weekend.

They would be the only ones to score in the first half, 15-0. In the second half, St. Joe’s would get on the board with a touchdown of their own, but Beaumont would answer back with 8 more points. In the fourth, both teams would score 8 points, but it wasn’t enough for St. Joe’s as they didn’t capitalize in the first half.

Bev Facey (13), Jasper Place (14)

Jasper Place would be another team to take out traditional power, Bev Facey this past weekend with their close win, 14-13 over the Falcons.

Facey would open the scoring with 3 points. In the second quarter, they would add another scoring run, but Jasper Place would match their efforts and, at the half, the score was 10-7 for the Falcons.

Again in the third, JP would be silent as Facey would be the only ones to score with 3 more points. But they must have lost their mojo as they would not score in the fourth and JP would put up another 7 points to overtake the Falcons, 14-13.

Paul Kane (71), Eastglen (6)

Paul Kane wasn’t messing around with Eastglen with their massacre of 71-6 this past weekend. They would score 30 points alone in the first quarter. Eastglen would also score their only 6 points in that first quarter. The second quarter would see PK put up another 25 points with the score being 55-6 at the half!

We can only assume (and hope) that PK pulled their first string and sat their starters for the second half as they would go on to put up 9 and 7 points in the third and fourth quarters respectively.
