Hurricanes add depth

The Hamilton Hurricanes have signed four more players from the ranks of Canadian Interuniversity Sport football. Joining the Ontario Football Conference Hurricanes this season will be first defensive end Christian D’Aguilar, wide receiver Andrin Masotti, linebacker Farouk Musa, and safety Josh Forrester.

Christian D’Aguilar:

D’Aguilar is a 6-4, 275lbs lineman from Hamilton, where he attended Barton Secondary School. He played for McMaster University as defensive end in 2012 and he is the younger brother of former Mac standout and current Calgary Stampeders’ defensive lineman, Ben D’Aguilar.

Adrin Masotti

Andrin Masotti:

Former McMaster Marauder WR Andrin Masotti, who in 2012 had 4 catches for 136 yards and 1 TD, and who was a major threat on special teams compiling 109 yards on 6 kick returns, and 239 yards on 34 punt returns. Masotti is the son of former Toronto Argonaut WR Paul Masotti. Andrin played his high school football at Cardinal Newman Secondary School in Stoney Creek, ON.

Josh Forrester

Josh Forrester:

Safety Josh Forrester (5-11) is a Caistor Centre, ON native and former University of Manitoba Bison. He will add depth to the ’Canes’ secondary in 2013 and will bring Canada West (CIS) experience with him. Forrester spent time with the Niagara Spears Football Club of the Ontario Varsity Football League.

Farouk Musa

Farouk Musa:

Former University of Toronto linebacker Farouk Musa attended St. Augustine SS in Brampton and was named 2011-12 senior boys Athlete of the Year, the senior football MVP in 2010-11 and 2011-12, and named a 2012 GTA All-Star.

In 2012, the 6’1” 205lbs Musa recorded 16 tackles and 1 quarterback sack in eight games played for the Varsity Blues.
