Lancers commit no stranger to team’s coaches

Lancers add a local commit to their 2019 class.

Dominic Price, an offensive lineman from CFC50 Holy Names Catholic High School, doesn’t need an introduction to the coaches of his new team, the University of Windsor Lancers.

“I chose to commit to the school because it’s close to home and I know all the coaches and they made me feel very welcome and they wanted me to be a part of the team,” said Price, who calls Essex, Ontario, home.

He added that, “Coaches that have coached me before are the coaches there, so I already know their style of coaching. The staff there is great, very outgoing and always wanting the best for their players.”

Price, who is interested in taking business, was also drawn to Windsor because of its academics. “It’s a good school with a top education program,” he said.

The 5’11, 270lbs centre has been playing football for around nine years now. He has spent five years with the Essex Ravens (OVFL) and two with the Holy Names Knights (WECSSAA). He helped the Knights capture an OFSAA Bowl title in 2017. He also captured an OVFL championship in 2015.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
