McMaster lands St. Catherines recruit (VIDEO)

St. Catherines wide receiver joins OUA team’s 2015 class.

Brandon Solanki wanted to go to a place with a tremendous amount of depth and experience that would allow him to develop and excel as a CIS player.

Consequently, the 5’8, 150 pound wide receiver/slotback from St. Catherines, Ontario committed to the McMaster Marauders.  Solanki will join the Marauders for the 2015 OUA season.

“Factors that persuaded me to choose McMaster are the coach who will be around me,” explained Solanki of his decision.  “Coach P [Marauders Head Coach Stefan Ptaszek] played wide receiver and knows a tremendous amount about the position; I will be able to reach my full potential here.”

“Also, these coaches are great men and will allow me to put school first and teach me things to help me throughout my life. Being not too far from home also helps so if I do end up playing, my family will be out there to support and watch.”

The offensive standout is currently completing his final season with the St. Francis Phoenix of the Niagara Region High School Athletic Association (NRHSAA).  Additionally, Solanki has suited up for the Niagara Spears of the Ontario Varsity Football League (OVFL).
