MontrΓ©aler commits to the Carabins

Carabins welcome another local recruit into their 2017 class.

Home. There is nothing quite like it and Redha Kramdi, a cornerback from Vanier College, will be staying home after committing to the University of MontrΓ©al Carabins.

Kramdi was born and raised in MontrΓ©al, QuΓ©bec to parents from Algeria. He already knows the sights and sounds of the metropolitan city. Now he will get to know the University of MontrΓ©al campus a little more intimately. β€œIt felt like home,” he said. β€œI have a lot of teammates from Vanier in MontrΓ©al, so my decision was easy.”

Standing at 5’11, 185lbs, Kramdi didn’t know the sport until the Benhalli family introduced him to it. When he began playing with Les Aigles d’Or de l’École secondaire DalbΓ© Viau (RSEQ), he met the Carabins’ defensive back coach, Fabrice Raymond. β€œHe was my first coach ever. I now know him for more than 5 years,” Kramdi said.

The future business student added that he thinks the Carabins’ coaching staff is one of the best in Canada.

During his three years with the Vanier Cheetahs (RSEQ Division 1), Kramdi acted as the defensive back team captain. He also spent two years with Les Aigles.

(Translation: Very happy to welcome Rehda Kramdi into the great family of the Carabins.)
