Sault Ste. Marie lineman becomes AUS team’s first commitment for 2014 season.

Jacob Creedon is moving out east.

The 6’1, 260 pound lineman from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario recently was the first recruit to commit to the Acadia Axemen for the 2014 AUS season.  Creedon decided on the Axemen for two specific reasons.

“The reasons I committed to Acadia was because the class sizes were very small compared to other universities and the coaching staff was full of good guys including Jeff Cummins, the head coach,” explained Creedon of his decision.

The Ontario standout joins the Axemen after completing his high school career with St. Basil Saints of the Northern Ontario Secondary School Association (NOSSA). Moreover, he suited up for the Sault Ste. Marie Sabrecats of the Ontario Varsity Football League (OVFL).  During his career, he has played at the centre, guard and long snapper positions.

Creedon has been recognized for his efforts on the field as he’s received two consecutive All-Star selections, has been named as City League Offensive Lineman of the Year and also chosen as his club team’s Offensive Lineman of the Year.
