NCAA Early Signing Day: Uguak set to join four other Canadians with his official commitment to the UConn Huskies

CFC100 Lwal Uguak (CFC50 Harry Ainlay)
Twitter was set on fire when CFC100 Lwal Uguak announced his commitment to the University of Connecticut just a week ago, and on the first day of the early NCAA signing period he wasted no time making his decision final by officially signing his letter of intent to play at UConn.

Standing at 6’4”, 245lbs, Uguak earned a spot on our CFC50 First Team All-Canadian list after leading CFC50 Harry Ainlay to a Tier 1 Alberta Provincial title in his senior year,  and he’s a part of an exclusive bunch who decided to stick it out north of the border and still received a top notch offer from the NCAA. He had one other offer from Fresno State in California and was heavily recruited by U Sports programs, but he instead decided to join an increasing bunch of Canadians who’ve already joined the Huskies’ family including Hergy Mayala, Michael Tarbutt, Philippe Okounam and Sheridan Lawley.

UConn is coming off a 3-9 year in the American Conference and will be looking to young guns like Uguak to help turn the program around during the next four seasons.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
