CFC100 Deionte Knight

Ottawa native, defensive end, Deionte Knight has made it official and can now call Arizona Western home.

When deciding on Arizona he said, “My future plans for school is to attend Arizona Western JC, stay there until I am eligible then get to the D1 program that I feel that is best for me, family is the most important thing to me, so hopefully I can get into a school where my family can visit often.”

The 6’5, 237lbs defensive end, finished up this season playing for Football North prep at Clarkson high school. With 38.5 total tackles, 8.5 sacks, and 1 blocked punt, Knight made an immediate impact. Football North plays their games exclusively in the United States. Ranked No. 2 on the CFC10 non-public rankings, Football NorthΒ had some very big wins in their inaugural season.

What to expect from Deionte for his freshman year?

β€œWhen I get to Arizona Western I know I have the ability and the work ethic to adjust quickly, in JuCo it is a matter of who is the hungriest” said Deionte. β€œIn the off season I have been training all aspects of my game, my strength, speed, mobility, and footwork. I have even registered for 7v7 for IDFFL so that I can become a dual hybrid threat.”

This also brought the attention to CFC where he was placed on the CFC100 top prospects list.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
