CFC100 2017 Jonathan Sutherland
Jonathan Sutherland ended a lengthy recruitment process by announcing his verbal commitment to NCAA Division 1 Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) team, back in July of 2016. That long journey has finally come to and end with his official signing of his LOI with the the Nittany Lions.

During his recruitment, the 6’0, 190 pound defensive back from Ottawa, Ontario received 28 NCAA Division 1 offers. Some of the other 28 NCAA Division 1 offers Sutherland received included ones from Louisville Cardinals, Temple Owls, Vanderbilt Commodores, Virginia Cavaliers, East Carolina Pirates, North Carolina Tar Heels, Miami Hurricanes, Nebraska Cornhuskers, Rutgers Scarlet Knights, Appalachian State Mountaineers, Iowa State Cyclones, Maryland Terrapins, Pittsburgh Panthers and Wake Forest Demon Deacons.
Sutherland is currently playing alongside CFC100 Luiji Vilain south of the border for Episcopal Maroon in Alexandra, Virginia. He has previously suited up for the Cumberland Panthers of the Ontario Varsity Football League (OVFL) and North Gloucester Giants of the National Capital Amateur Football Association (NCAFA).
He trains with Tedondo at Gridiron Academy in Ottawa, Ontario.
