Newest UCONN commit from British Columbia

Sheridan Lawley

CFC TOP 100 #8 ranked Lawley commits to NCAA’s Huskies and joins # 2 Rutherford.

A CFC TOP 100 defensive end is NCAA bound in 2014.

Sheridan Lawley has become the second player to verbally commit to NCAA Division 1-A American Athletic Conference (formerly Big East Conference) team University of Connecticut Huskies (UCONN).

The 6’5, 265 pound defensive end from Abbotsford, British Columbia will join CFC # 2 Trey Rutherford in Connecticut.  Rutherford committed to Huskies back in August, 2013.

Lawley recently played high school football in New Jersey for Lawrenceville Big Red.  During his stint there, the defensive standout was selected to the Star Ledger All-Prep Team, the New Jersey Times Defensive Honour Roll for his performance in a game in early October (registered nine tackles, two sacks and one forced fumble), and the New Jersey Times 12th Man TD Club Award at the offensive lineman position.

Previous to the Big Red, the CFC TOP 100 standout suited up for W.J Mouat Hawks of the British Columbia High School Football Association (BCHSFA).

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
