After much consideration, CFC TOP100 receiver Brayden Lenius has signed today with NCAA’s Washington Huskies.
Lenius received five NCAA offers. Two days ago the Huskies and two other schools – Utah and Minnesota were under serious consideration. Ultimately, he finally decided to sign with the Huskies today.
The 6’5, 195 pound receiver from North Vancouver, British Columbia moved south of the border this past fall to suit up for Chaminade West Hills, a private preparatory school in California. Not only has he dressed for the football Eagles, but also the school’s basketball squad. However, due to CIF transfer rules, he had to sit out the first month of his gridiron season with Chaminade.
What generated a lot of buzz surrounding the North Vancouver wide receiver was exceptional play which ultimately led Chaminade to the California State Championship.
Previous to the California move, Lenius enjoyed a successful high school career with the Carson Graham Eagles of the British Columbia High School Football Association (BCHSFA). In 2012, the wide receiver played a pivotal role in the successful comeback campaign the Eagles mounted to win the Buchanan Bowl. In the 22-19 victory, Lenius scored all three touchdowns for the team.
In 2011, the British Columbia offensive standout was a member of Canadian all-star squad that competed at the Eastbay Youth All-American Bowl against the Americans. For his stellar play, Lenius was named game MVP.
As a member of Team British Columbia, Lenius guided the team to a 38-13 victory over USA at the 2013 FBU All-American Bowl in San Antonio, Texas.
Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
