UniversitΓ© Laval, February 8, 2018 – Olivier Turcotte-Letourneau is the new coach of the defensive backs of Laval University’s Rouge et Or.
Turcotte-LΓ©tourneau, who played for the Laval club from 2006 to 2010, succeeds Kevin Nichols, appointed head coach of the CΓ©gep Pioneers of Rimouski earlier this winter and who will leave after seven years with the R and O.

Himself a former defensive star, chosen on the first Canadian constellation in 2009 and the second in 2010, Turcotte-LΓ©tourneau has been involved in coaching since retiring as a player.
Defensive coordinator of the St-Jean-Eudes program in 2013 and 2014, he was head coach of the Diablos of CΓ©gep de Trois-RiviΓ¨res in 2015, before being appointed coach of the defensive half and deputy defensive coordinator at the Redmen’s McGill in 2016. After two seasons in the metropolis, he returned to Quebec where he acted as coach of the defensive backs with Elans de Garneau.
He also worked in the Canadian program, where he contributed to the Canadian team’s victory at the World Under-19 Championship last summer in Mexico City, as well as at the International Bowl in Arlington, Texas. 2018.
