Grayden Tedesco started his gridiron career six years ago after quitting baseball.

“It was a sport that I never thought that I would ever get into but quickly fell in love with,” said Tedesco.

The offensive linesman’s first couple of years in the game were pretty rocky with difference coaches and not knowing the game, but he stuck through it and won a championship in his first year.

Tedesco plays with the Guelph Jr. Gryphons of the Ontario Football Conference (OFC) and spends his offseason getting reading for the upcoming season. He starts the offseason off by resting for a bit before moving into training and weight lifting.

“Ultimately my goals for the Ontario Prospect Challenge (OPC) is to not only make the team but to gain valuable knowledge and coaching,” explained the Jr. Gryphon, who also hopes to better himself by being surrounded by the best coaches and players.

Tedesco also hopes to be on the CFC 100 list in his graduating year.

“It would be absolutely huge not only to know that I am up there but also to see how I have progressed from a little kid who barely knew how to play football to a guy who lives and breathes football,” added the offensive linesman.

Tedesco said he loves the game for a couple of reasons.

“It gives every kid an outlet to get out some stress as well as being a complete team sport and every team is like a band of brothers that would do anything for each other,” said Tedesco.
