Nicholas Grossi started his career by playing five season with the TNT Express, where he developed a love for the game and began to take it more seriously, making him decide to switch to a more competitive league.

The linebacker then joined the Ontario Varsity Football League (OVFL) to play with the Brampton Bulldogs, where he stayed for three seasons.

He also played for his high school team the St. Michael’s Bulldogs, where he started his first three years before moving on to St. Andrew’s College Saints in the Conference of Independent Schools Athletic Association (CISAA).

Nicholas is in his second year with the Saints, and is currently in his fifth year of high school.

During the offseason, he attends clinics and camps around North America to improve his game, as well as train with his strength and conditioning coach at St. Andrew’s.

The Saints’ training goes from the very end of the season until the following year’s training camp.

Coming into the Ontario Prospect Challenge, Grossi have great drive and motivation to be unforgettable on the field.

β€œMy goals for the OPC (Ontario Prospect Challenge) are to play in the game and be a game changing player for my team,” said Nicholas. β€œI want to be the X-factor that everyone at the game watches.”

The Saints standout grew a love for the game through a need to be noticed by his older brothers, who never watched him play sports.

β€œI played soccer, hockey and baseball and none of those were good enough until I started playing football, where my brothers started to continuously watch me,” explained Nicholas.Β β€œThis desire to be noticed by my brothers grew into a passion for the game and an understanding of every aspect of it.”

Moreover, his idol is Bo Jackson because he was not dominant in just one sport and played several professional sports at once.

β€œI love all sports and competing against others in sport, which is why he is my idol, and I try as hard as I can in every sport I play,” commented the Saint.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
