Cameron Gearey’s father introduced him to the sport when he was eight-years old.  He has played at the quarterback, running back, defensive line and defensive back (safety) positions. However, his favourite positions to play are running back and defensive back (safety).

In 2012, he won Spring League Defensive Lineman of the Year, Spring League MVP, NCAFA Team MVP and Spring League Specialty Teams Award.

When he is not playing with the Cornwall Wildcats of the National Capital Football Association (NCAFA), he spends his offseason working out and doing drills with his father.

Gearey’s goals for the Ontario Prospect Challenge (OPC) are simple.

“I want to make the team and contribute and hopefully win,” said Gearey.

Overall, he is passionate about playing the game.

“I love everything about football especially running and hitting,” added Gearey.
