Twelve-year-old Brody Fairbairn has been playing football for four years, and is currently quarterback for the mosquito Cornwall Wildcats of the National Capital Football Association (NCAFA).

Fairbairn’s young gridiron career has already consisted of four spring leagues, one winter indoors six on six league and four NCAFA seasons.

“[I] love to play football because it is the ultimate team sport,” says Fairbairn. “[I am] a team captain and lead by example. [I am] very driven to reach my goals.”

The quarterback trains both during the season and the offseason twice a week with his strength and conditioning coach. During the winter he also trains at Ron Raymond’s Capital QB’s in Ottawa.

The Wildcat has also attended the Brian Leonard Football Camp in Postdam, NY the last three years and was awarded top youth QB the last two summers. Fairbairn was also named overall camp MVP last summer.

This past June he attended his first “big time” American camp at Football University in Stamford, CT. This opportunity allowed Fairbairn to develop his skills, fundamentals and relationships.

The quarterback’s goal for the Ontario Prospect Challenge (OPC) is to gain experience and try his best in a tryout atmosphere and hopefully get an invite to the next tryout.

“In 2020 I would like to achieve a ranking on the CFC 100 list.”
