The King City Lions improved to 2 and 0 on the season with 32-0 win over Markham’s Brother Andre Cardinals this past Thursday night at Brother Andre. Julian Gutierrez led the offense for the Lions with 12 points on 3 converts and field goals including a 45 yarder.
Marcus Arkarakas contributed with 2 rushing TD’s and Quarterback Josh Baird connected with Luca Celebre on a TD strike. The King squad forced BA to concede a safety to round out the scoring. On the defensive side of the ball, David Lamanna had an impressive debut at Defensive end for King City as he recorded 3 sacks and helped the Lions keep the Cardinals out of the red zone all night. The Lions travel back to Markham next Friday for a 3pm match up with the Markham District Marauders.
