OUA board of directors diliberates for 5 minutes, denies McGill’s application

(Press release – 7pm) HAMILTON, Ont. – The Ontario University Athletics (OUA) Board of Directors have voted to deny McGill’s application for playing privileges in OUA football.

The request for playing privileges is appropriate in circumstances when teams do not have access to leagues in their own Regional Association. In the case of McGill’s football program, the university can and does play football in Réseau du sport étudiant du Québec (RSEQ) which is a viable league that allows McGill to compete in CIS football and the opportunity to compete for the Vanier Cup.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
